Oxford, NC – Patricia Ann Elliott Tingen, wife of Marshall Lee Tingen, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the age of 71. Born in Oxford, NC on January 23, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mozelle Hill Elliott. Patricia was a graduate of East Carolina University and taught in Granville County Schools and Mecklenburg County Schools for 46 years. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Penny Hill Extension Club and the United Methodist Women. Patricia was a faithful and active member at Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Patricia is survived by her husband of 50 years, Marshall; daughters, Jennifer Reese (Brian) of Oxford, NC, and Julie Blackwell (Jamie) of Wake Forest, NC; son, Jeffrey Tingen (Ross) of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Carson, Meredith, Madelyn, J.T., Brooks, Sawyer and Edith and siblings, Sandra Currin, Betty Jean Cash, Robert Lee Elliott and Van Elliott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Elliott. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 23 at Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Nadine Bobbitt will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the church before the service, starting at 12:00 noon, and all other times at the residence of 9034 McDuffie Rd. Oxford, NC 27565.
