Patricia Lane Tuck Overby

Patricia L. Overby of Clarksville, VA, passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born in Oxford, NC on January 31, 1944.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Larry Lee Overby, Sr.

Patricia held a variety of retail positions, including Sears, Silco, The Patchwork House, and Walmart.  She loved people, and people loved her.  Patricia was a talented seamstress and loved gardening. She enjoyed her cats and cared for many that were ill or had medical problems.  Her close companion, Darlin’, was a rescued blind cat who stayed by her side day and night. Patricia was a faithful member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend to her children. She is survived by her daughters, Angela O. Yancey and Casina O. Sandifer (Roy), as well as her son, Larry Lee Overby, Jr.  She was especially proud of her two grandchildren, Madison T. Yancey and William Lane Sandifer.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Patricia at a later date. The family will be available to receive guests at the home of Angela Yancey 1/9/2025 - 1/12/2025 from 1:00PM to 6:00PM. 3815 Shiney Rock Rd, Clarksville, VA 23927.
