Patrick W. Blackwell

Patrick W. Blackwell of Alton, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Born May 6, 1958, he was the son of the late Robert Sam Blackwell and Helen Marie Poston Blackwell.

A True Son of the South, governed by his personal honor as a man rather than any arbitrary laws; who detested a liar, loved his family more than himself, always had a joke for any situation, & worked hard from childhood to disability. His heart couldn't abide leaving an animal, a neighbor, or a friend in need of help. In the course of his life he overcame addiction, betrayal, & hardships of all sorts that would break another man's spirits. He will be missed by all those who knew him well, and warmly met again in the hereafter.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 9, 2024 at The Worship Center, South Boston, VA.
