Patsy Cabaniss Hutchins

Boydton, VA - Patsy Cabaniss Hutchins, wife of the late Fred Wayne Hutchins, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the age of 87. She was born in Danville, VA on June 10, 1931 to the late Asa Gray and Zona Mae Hayden Cabaniss. Mrs. Hutchins worked at the Dental School for the University of North Carolina as a switchboard operator. Mrs. Hutchins is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Garry Hite of Boydton, VA; son, Ralph Powell of Blairs, VA; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by children, Terri Kabinski and Sammy Knight. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Orange United Methodist Church, 1220 Martin Luther King Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend David Garra will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.wclfh.com.
