Paul Lynwood Munn

Stovall, NC Paul Lynwood Munn, husband of Janet Dixon Munn, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the age of 82. He was born in Granville County on July 20, 1934 to the late Mary Elizabeth Faucette and Roger Lee Munn. Mr. Munn worked in the maintenance department of Burlington Industries for 43 years, retiring as maintenance supervisor.In addition, he was an auctioneer for over 40 years.He was a founder of Stovall Rescue Squad, where he served as an EMT for 17 years, 16 of which he taught CPR.Paul was a member of the Town Board of Stovall and served as a Town Commissioner.He was a lifelong member of Marrow’s Chapel United Methodist Church and a faithful member at Stovall United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife of 64 years, Janet Munn, he is survived by his daughter, Rita Munn Hicks and her husband, Mickey; a son, Paul Michael Munn, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.He is also survived by his sister, Nellie Hite.Mr. Munn was preceded in death by his brothers, John Roger Munn, James Bradsher Munn, Harold Dennis Munn, and Frances Ray Munn. Funeral services for Paul Lynwood Munn will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Stovall United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Marrow’s Chapel Cemetery.The Reverend John Yount and Mr. Bill Baker will be officiating.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
