Paul Sanford Sizemore

Paul Sanford Sizemore of Bullock, NC, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the age of 89. Born in Granville County, NC, on March 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Walter and Alice Yancey Sizemore. Paul served his county in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Military Police and was stationed in Guam. In civilian duty, he worked in sales with the Wyandotte Chemical Company. Respectfully touted as the first official mayor of the Grassy Creek Community, he was instrumental in establishing the longstanding Grassy Creek Christmas parade. Paul will be remembered as a master story teller. Paul is survived by daughters, Lori Williamson (Eddie) of Clarksville and Michelle Sizemore-Malana of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, David Walter Wade, Breanna Louise Wade and Ryan Malana; six great grandchildren; siblings, Pete Sizemore (Mary Ann), Louise Loftis and Anna Jean Overstreet (Roger) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lurie Elbert Sizemore and a son, Walter Sanford Sizemore. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Grassy Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning one hour before service time.
