CLOVER Paula Gallop Whitlow of Clover, VA passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.She was born in Portsmouth, VA on October 30, 1938 to the late Paul and Lila Miller Gallop and was married to Aubrey James "A.J." Whitlow. Paula was the founder in establishing the Serenity Garden at Edmonds Park and continued as a volunteer. She was a "small town country girl with a big dream", a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her passion was crafting, writing poems, cooking and spending time with her family. Paula was a former dispatcher/jailer inCurrituck County and a former school bus driver. She was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church. In addition to the husband, she is survived by her children, Paul James Whitlow (Betty),Tony Gene Whitlow (Janie),Susan Jones (Tony), Danny Whitlow (Denise), David Whitlow (Peggy) ; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Allen and sisters, Sandra Wotring and Gertie Myers. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Whitlow Family Cemetery, 8041 Mortons Ferry Road, Clover, VA.The family will receive friends on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 6:30-8:30 PM.
