Pauleen Bowen Wall

Pauleen Bowen Wall of Buffalo Junction, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the age of 87. Born in Mecklenburg County on November 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Bennie and Fannie Overbey Bowen and was married to the late Lawrence Allen Wall. Pauleen was a former employee of Burlington Industries and worked along side her husband at their family store, Wall’s Country Corner. She was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and proudly sported her support on her license plate, 3N84ME.

Pauleen is survived by her children, Sylvia Champion (Rickey), Donald A. Wall (Linda), and Keith Wall, all of Buffalo Junction and by a grandson, Bennie Allen Wall (Katie) of Fredericksburg. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Sharon Ball (Lee), Burnice Coghill (Judy), Wallace Bowen (Cathy), Gary Bowen, Nancy Rice (Bob), Betty Bowen, Tony Powell (Wanda), Janet Painter, Joan Duke (Paul) and H.B. Coghill (Jean).  In addition to her husband and parents, Pauleen was preceded in death by siblings, Wallace Bowen, Nina B. Coghill, Annette Coghill and Ruby B. Powell; nieces and nephews, Brenda Adams, Larry Bowen, Patricia Bagbey, James Bennie and Albert Powell, Jr. The family would like to express their appreciation to her devoted caregivers, Pauline Wilkins, Casandra Davis, Marion Chandler and Tasha Gregory.

Graveside services for Pauleen will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 24 at Gravel Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Billy Coghill officiating.
