Pauline Thaxton Green

Ms. Pauline Thaxton Green of 1181 Old Cluster Springs Rd., South Boston, VA died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the age of 89. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on September 5, 1923 to the late Killis Thaxton, Sr. and the late Mary Conner Thaxton. Ms. Green attended Trinity Holiness Church and was retired from Burlington Industries, where she worked for 42 years as a weaver. Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Green, Harold Green, & Michael Green, Sr. all of South Boston, VA; one daughter, Rhonda Elliott of Virgilina, VA; one brother, Killis Thaxton, Jr. of South Boston, VA; seven grandchildren, Tony Green, Jake Green, Nicholas Elliott, Zackary Elliott, Jennie Rice, Michael Green, Jr., & Jason Lloyd; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Kenneth Green and Carroll Green, one daughter, Deborah Lloyd, and one sister, Irene Crenshaw. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Trinity Holiness Church with Rev. Steve Dyer officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Michael Green, 1190 Old Cluster Springs Rd., South Boston, VA.
