Peggy Matthews Jacobs

Mrs. Peggy Matthews Jacobs went to her heavenly rest on Monday, December 19, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Pattie Mae Matthews and was married to the late Charles Jacobs. Peggy was a housewife and a great friend to many. She loved people. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA.

Peggy is survived by a brother, William “Sug” Matthews (Pat); son, Darrell Jacobs (Susie); daughter-in-law, Evone Jacobs; 4 granddaughters, Cassandra Moseley (Arthur), Brooke Inge (Andrew), Tiffany Miller (Malcolm) and Briana Brotzman; and by 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Matthews and a son, Donald Jacobs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 21 at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle with the Reverend Billy Coghill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning one hour before the service, and at all other times at Evone's home.
