Peggy Cranfill Reeves

Mrs. Peggy Cranfill Reeves of 2142 Cedar Grove Rd., Alton died Friday, August 27, 2010 at the age of 69. She was born in North Carolina on July 9, 1941 to the late William B. Cranfill and the late Minnie Michaels Cranfill and was married to Warner B. Reeves. Mrs. Reeves was a retired coil winder for ABB. She was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Survivors include her husband; three children, Michael C. Reeves and wife, Robin of Alton, Cynthia R. Smith and husband, Jeff of Danville, and James E. Reeves and wife, Jane of Wake Forest, NC; one sister, Mary Lambeth of Richmond; two brothers, Robert Cranfill of Virgilina, and Tony Cranfill of Orange; and seven grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Hugh Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night at Brooks Funeral Home from 7 PM until 8:00 PM.
