SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Peggy Ingram Wilkins went to her Heavenly home on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the age of 87.She was born in Halifax County on August 11, 1932 to the late Erastus Jones Ingram and the late Willie Watts Ingram and was married to the late Thomas Ellsworth Wilkins. Peggy was a member of Mt. Cana United Methodist Church and retired as an optometrist assistant with Dr. Clyde Peer. Surviving Mrs. Wilkins are her daughters, Vickie Boyles (Doug) of Halifax and Luanne Wilkins (Buddy Garrett) of South Boston; her son, Tommy Wilkins of South Boston; grandchildren, Stephanie Catron, Scott Wilkins, Bert Boyles, Amberly Moon, Amanda Pecora, and Adam Wilkins; great grandchildren, Sarah, Abby, Laci, Brooklyn, Blakeleigh, Avery, Merrick and Graylee and numerous other family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 7 siblings. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Mt. Cana United Methodist Church with the Reverend Randy Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 7-8:30 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times at the home.
