Phyllis Carter Dalton

Phyllis Carter Dalton, 75, passed away on June 10, 2017. She was born on October 5, 1941 in Mecklenburg County to the late Clarence Irvin and Charlotte Philbeck Carter. Phyllis is the widow of Lacy Gene Dalton whom she married on December 3, 1961. She worked alongside Gene at Bowman’s Garage as his secretary. Mrs. Dalton is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Lynn Dalton (Ann) of Buffalo Junction; sister and brother-in-law, Faye Carter Driggs (Bill) of Chase City; and niece, Amy Carter of Richmond. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Gene, and her brother, Cecil Carter. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Larry Davis officiating. Visitation will be held before the service from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 9220 Trottinridge Road in Chase City, VA 23924.
