Phyllis Morris Hudson

VIRGILINA, VA Mrs. Phyllis Morris Hudson passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the age of 70.Born in Halifax County on April 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George William Morris and the late Hazel Elliott Morris and was married to Curtis Dale Hudson. Phyllis operated Town and Country Beauty Salon for over 40 years where she was a beautician. She was a member of North Fork Baptist Church and a long time Sunday School teacher. Survivors include her husband, Curtis; her daughters, Jennifer Lynn Lowery and husband Chris of Warrenton, VA, Joan Annette Cannon and husband Rob of New Kent County, VA, and Jacqueline Dale Hudson Wilkins of Virgilina; her son, Anthony Scott Hudson and friend Dee Dillow of Virgilina; her five grandchildren, Andrew Scott Talley and wife Ashley, Ashton Hudson, Maci Lowery, Laci Wilkins, and Ryan Cannon; her one great-grandson, Jackson Talley; her sister, Pam Eakes and husband Harvey and girls of South Boston; and her long-time friends and caregivers, Crystal Walker, Dot Miller, and Mary Holloway. Funeral services for Mrs. Hudson will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 4:00 PM at North Fork Baptist Church with the Reverend Doug Ballew and the Reverend Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Monday, January 1, 2018 from 6:00PM to 7:30PM and other times at the home, 1242 Rip Rap Rd, Virgilina, VA.
