Phyllis Hope Jones

Ms. Phyllis Hope Jones, 38, of 1047 Old Grubby Road., South Boston, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center. She was born in Halifax County August 12, 1971, the daughter of the late Frank Kemper Jones, Sr and Willie Mae Matthews Jones. Ms. Jones was a student at Southside Virginia Community College, a former employee of Wabash and attended Union United Methodist Church. Survivors include her mother, Willie Mae Matthews Jones of South Boston; her brother, Frank Kemper Jones, Jr., and wife, Judy of Nathalie; sister, Carolyn J. Loftis and husband, Kenneth of Sutherlin; nephew, Eric Jones; and a beloved friend & companion her dog Lucky. Graveside funeral services will be held at Pleasant Grove Christian Church cemetery, 2154 Pleasant Grove Rd., Halifax on Friday, January 22 at 2 p.m.. The family will receive friends at the home, 1047 Old Grubby Road
