Preston Jordan Link

Mr. Preston Jordan Link of 4200 Cedar Grove Rd., Alton died Monday, June 28, 2010 at the age of 83. Mr. Link was born in Halifax Co. on November 6, 1926 to the late Herman J. and Lillian Turner Link. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Survivors include two sons, Gary Link and wife,Sarah and Larry Link; daughter, Jane Lowery and husband, Mitch; step daughter, Tamara Overby, all of Alton; former wife, Elsie Gwyne Link Lowery of Alton; two grandchildren, six step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30 at 2:00 PM at Alton Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Tuesday night from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
