Primrose Cole Goodwin

SOUTH BOSTON, VA Mrs. Primrose Cole Goodwin passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018at the age of 97. Born in Virgilina on September 24, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edward Cole and the late Janie Sue Lowery Cole and was married to Richard Norwood Goodwin, Jr. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and was retired from Craddock Terry Shoe Corporation. She is survived by a special niece, Betty F. Mele of South Boston; sister in law, Doris S. Cole of Virgilina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Elsie C. Ford, Grace Sue Elliott, Pete Cole, Waverly Cole, and Elvin Cole. Funeral services for Mrs. Goodwin will be Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Reverend Shayne Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
