Rachel Link Elliott

ALTON Mrs. Rachel Link Elliott of Alton, VA passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the age of 75. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on June 18, 1941 the daughter of the late Lonnie Lee Link and the late Hazel Shotwell Link and was married to the late Stover Lee Elliott. Rachel was a homemaker and a member of Alton Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and listening to music. Mrs. Elliott is survived by her daughter Donna Zimmerman (Timothy J.) of Alton; brother, Harold Link (Sue); sisters, Hilda Barton (Leon), Lana Jackson (Kenneth), Vera Chase (Al), and Vonnie Reaves (Bobby). And caretakers, Fannie Mitchell and Ashley Featherston. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda L. McBride. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Personal Home Care and Sentara Halifax Regional Hospice. Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Alton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM and at other times at the home.
