Rachel Daniel Sharon

Bullock, NC - Mrs. Rachel Daniel Sharon, widow of Lynwood David Sharon, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the age of 69.She was born on January 8, 1947 in Granville County to the late Virginia Slaughter Daniel and the late James Williams Daniel.Mrs. Sharon worked at Burlington Industries for over 35 years and later worked as a certified nurse assistant at Maria Parham Medical Center.Rachel was an outstanding mother and grandmother and her favorite pastime was fishing.She was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Sharon is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David Earl and Shelby Sharon of Oxford, Charles Keith and Michelle Sharon of Grassy Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Earl Gordon of Grassy Creek; grandchildren, Michael Gordon, April Ransom, Chris Ransom, Kristin Gordon, Joseph Sharon, Raelyn Sharon, Luke Sharon and great grandchildren Emma, Colton, C.J., Autumn and Adalyn. The family of Rachel Daniel Sharon will receive friends on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Ave, Clarksville, VA 23927. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church in Bullock, NC with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The Reverend Cameron Currin and Deacon Larry Hart will be officiating.
