Ralph Hall Landes

Ralph Hall Landes of South Boston passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was born in Augusta County on September 13, 1929 to the late Hubert Wilson Landes and the late Gertrude Elizabeth Samples Landes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Irene Wilkerson Landes.

Ralph enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Hyco Road Hunting Club, fishing and all sports. In earlier years he coached baseball. He also was a veteran of the United States Military and served duty in Okinawa.

He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn L. Bowen (Dwight), Barbara L. Clienhans, and Linda L. Hackney; grandchildren, Amy B. Saunders (Jamie), Stacy B. Ratliff (Jeremy), Chad Bowen (Christy), Brian Clienhans (Emily), Brooke Clienhans, David Hackney and Shelley Wilkinson; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Hall Landes, Jr; sisters, Dorothy Gordon, Helen Landes and Kathleen Sprouse and brothers, Roy Landes and Glenn Landes, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Bunch officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service, 12:30-2:00 PM, at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
