Clarksville, VA - Mr. Ralph “Pop” Edmund Scott of Clarksville, VA died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the age of 99.He was born in Cofield, NC on March 8, 1917 to the late Clarence Lynnwood Scott and Bessie McGloughn Scott.Mr. Scott lived and worked in Richmond for 60 years and retired from CSX Railroad Corporation in 1978, where he was a locomotive engineer.Mr. Scott was the oldest living Past Master of the Masonic Lodges in the state of Virginia.He was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Saunders Scott.He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and R.A. Williamson and Virginia and Vaughn Barrille, all of Clarksville, VA, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-children and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Irene Davis, George Scott and Edward Scott. Funeral services for Ralph “Pop” Scott will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Tucker officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.Entombment will follow at the Oakhurst Cemetery Mausoleum.
