Ramona Keaton-Lyon

VIRGILINA,VA Ms. Ramona Keaton-Lyon of Virgilina passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 42.Born in Halifax County on December 23, 1975, she was the daughter of Cary Eugene Keaton and Kathy Lancaster Keaton. Ramona was a former retail manager with Aaron’s and loved her job. She loved all aspects of outdoor life, fishing, walking, planting flowers, birds, softball and riding four wheelers. She especially loved her family and life itself. Other than her parents, she is survived by a son and daughter, Jacob Lyon and Katelyn Lyon and their father, Spencer Lyon; brother, Henry Keaton and wife Jackie; sister, Michele Keaton Mills and friend, Tim Whitmore; aunts and uncles, Gwen Lancaster and Howard Lawrence, Marion Clark and husband Ricky, Darlene Slaughter and husband Buck, Shirley Moya and husband Ted, Helen Vaughan and husband Elmer, Marie Overby and husband Ronnie, Nellie Keaton, Doug Keaton, and Gloria Diana Gravitt and husband Wayne and numerous family members and friends. Funeral services for Ramona Keaton-Lyon will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, 1:00-2:00 PM, at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times the home, 4031 East Hitesburg Road, Virgilina, VA.
