Ransom Lynn Harvell, Jr.

Ransom "Lynn" Harvell, Jr of Clarksville, VA passed away on August 25, 2023 at the age of 80.  He was born in Southampton County, VA on April 19, 1943 to the late Ransom Lynn Harvell Sr and the late Pearl Lucille Bowden Harvell. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Snively Harvell.

Lynn served in the US Army and later became a counselor with the Department of Corrections for 25 years.  He was a master fisherman in Virginia and a fishing guide on Kerr and Gaston Lakes.  He was a member of Jamieson Memorial Methodist Church and served as president of the Men's ministry for several years.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Heather Harvell; son, Jonathan Harvell (Latachia); grandchildren, John, Emily and Ella; siblings, Randy Harvell (Becky) and Jean Paige Baker (John).

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Jamieson Memorial Methodist Church.
