Raymond Charles Cardinal

Raymond Charles Cardinal, 77, husband of Mary Ruth Fritts Cardinal, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at his home at approximately 4:30 AM. Born and reared in St. Paul, MN, he was the son of Raymond and Irene Roby Cardinal. Mr. Cardinal was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. A U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was employed with the Department of Energy for 30 years. He was a good father and grandfather and he had great love for his family. A funeral mass will be said 11 AM Monday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church by Father Nixon Negparanon. In addition to his wife of 42 years, Mr. Cardinal is survived by his daughter, Dawn Marie Cardinal; brother, Gregory Cardinal of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Rita Levoroos of Texas and grandsons, Christopher Ray Barham and Chad Lee Barham. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Sunday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. Committal services will be 10 AM Tuesday at National Cemetery in Merrifield, VA.
