Raymond Ruffus Seamster

Mr. Raymond Ruffus Seamster passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the age of 77. Born in Halifax County on June 29, 1943, he was the son of the late William Ruffus Seamster and the late Elizabeth Ann Seamster and was married to Helen Irene Robertson Seamster. Raymond was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed mowing grass and watching hummingbirds. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren, watching them play ball. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Michael Ray Seamster, daughter, Cheryl Seamster Cox, son, Bruce Wayne Seamster (Teresa) and son, Kevin Dale Seamster (Sara, his fiancé); grandchildren, Michael Cox, Brandon Cox, Autumn Cox, Stacy Seamster, Kelly Seamster, Heather Owen, Adam Seamster, Anna Seamster, Teneisha Bowes, Makayla Wooten, and soon to be granddaughter, Isla Grey; great grandchildren, Anderson, Jayden, Alyssa, Carly, Justin, Ashton, Farrah, Reese, and Kinsley; sisters, Gracie Wilmouth, Myrtle Guill and Lily Seamster; brother, Bradley Seamster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raleigh Seamster and a sister, Jean Seamster. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel.
