Rebecca Hite Bass

Rebecca Hite Bass, 82, of Nelson, VA passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Clarksville Health and Rehab. Rebecca was born September 4, 1942 to the late Harrison and Mary Hite. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Samuel Alton Bass.

Rebecca worked in Burlington Industries for several years, later she worked at Aarons Creek Greenhouse and then as a receptionist with a medical company in South Boston. Rebecca was strong and very determined in everything especially during her battle with breast cancer.  She was a very skilled pianist and played in church all her life. Rebecca also enjoyed selling Avon products, while she was a busy lady she always put being a mother first.

She is survived by her son; Christopher Dwayne Bass (Franklin) of Dumphries, VA and daughter; Canadas Jeanette Bass (Merlin Grim) of Midlothian, Va.

A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, 2:00PM at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Pastor Bill Boelte officiating.
