Regina Lee Chapman Barbar of Roxboro, NC went home to be with our Lord very peacefully surrounded by her family. Though she left us physically on June 24, 2014, Alzheimers had stolen her from us many years ago. Regina is the daughter of Herbert and Mary Ann Chapman who predecease her. Regina was a devout Catholic and was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rockville MD until she moved here to Roxboro and attended St Mary and Edward's Catholic Church on Main Street. Regina was a smart, funny, kind, compassionate person and loved anything with fins, fur or feathers, she valued the life of every living creature. Regina was a multitalented woman, in addition to being a loving wife and mother she also owned, operated and was the floral designer of several flower shops in Maryland. After moving to NC she worked at Duke until she became ill. Regina adored music and dancing and even after memories of her life had faded away and she could no longer walk you could see her in her wheelchair, feet tapping in time to the music and a smile on her face as the music played. Regina was an avid connoisseur of chocolate, a voracious reader and awesome cribbage player. Regina loved her family especially "the boy next door" Ralph Michael Barbar whom she married and who predeceases her. She is also preceded in death by her youngest daughter Lisa Barbar Barnette, and a grandson Christopher Brent Phillips. She is surviced by two sons, Stephen Barbar of Belmont, MA, Jerry Barbar and wife Angela of Roxboro. A daughter, Michelle Barbar and partner Mary Larraz of Durwood MD and 6 grandchildren.
