Reginald Leon Arrington, 85, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Lucy Cole Arrington and the late Mabel Davis Arrington. Leon was born February 13, 1927 to the late Bossie Blandford and Mildred Burnett Arrington. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School with the Class of 1944 and attended business school. An Insurance Executive, Leon worked at Crowder Insurance Agency for 60 years. A member of Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle, funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 2P.M. with the Reverend Dr. Charles Weeks, Reverend Chris Kiser and Reverend Dr. David Pruett officiating. Interment will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. In addition to his wife, Leon is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Mike Hodges; son and daughter-in-law, Reginald and Grey Arrington; step-daughter, Mary Beth Thompson, all of Buffalo Junction; step-son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Antoinette Satterfield of South Boston; grandchildren, Michelle H. and Stevie Poole, and Taylor Hodges, step-grandchildren, Charles Thompson, Kevin and Jamie Satterfield, Kelsey Thompson and Hannah Satterfield; great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Avery Poole; and step-great-grandchildren, Brody and Joel Satterfield. His sister, Wanda A. Martin of Florida, and brothers, Francis Lee Arrington, Berry Wayne Arrington, and Jerry Layne Arrington, all of Nelson; Harold Blandford Arrington of Three Rivers, Michigan and William Cecil Arrington of Felton, Delaware also survive. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Delbert Arrington and sister, Glennis Arrington. The family will receive friends 7-9P.M. Tuesday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
