Reuben Owen Williams

Mr. Reuben Owen Williams, Sr. of 2067 Chester Rd., Clover died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at the age of 70. He was born in Halifax Co. on April 13, 1940 to the late Elisha Silas Williams and the late Carrie Virginia Ferrell Williams and was married to Margaret L. Williams. Mr. Williams was a retired taxidermist. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Reuben Owen Williams, Jr. and wife, Joanne of Farmville and Jeffery Williams and wife, Angela of South Boston; three daughters, Wanda W. Snoddy of Clover, Joan W. Dungans and husband, James of Rice, and Connie Duffey and husband, Ronnie of Clover; brother, Elisha Silas Williams, Jr. and wife, Jean of Green Bay; three sisters, Althea George and Brenda Ray, both of NC and Carolyn Faye Chernault of Richmond; grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Williams, Summer Dawn Williams, Laura Spring Williams, Rosalia Autumn Williams, Andrew Tyler Duffey, and Ashley Nicole Duffey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Ann Williams, three brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Saturday, June 19 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
