OXFORD, NC Richard Lee Moore, Jr.went to his heavenly home onMarch 11, 2022. Richard served in the U.S. ARMY and NATIONAL GUARD. He was an active member of Tungsten First Baptist Church until he became bedridden with dementia. He was self employed as long haul cross country truck driver in all 48 states. He and his wife Sally made a perfect driving team. The coupleshared a life on the road for many years. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 31years, Sally Crews Moore of Oxford; daughters, Donna M, Inners of Franklinton, NC, Beverly M. Carpenter (Robert) of Washington, NC, and Judy M. Stone (Mark) OF Wilkesboro, NC; son, Charles Moore OF Franklinton, NC.; daughters, Pamela R. Griffin of Oxford, NC, Penny R. Treloar (Jason) of South Boston, VA, Sally R. Coleman (Chris) of Providence, NC; son, James A Reagan, Jr (Kim) of South Boston, VA. He had 9 grandchildren from his former marriage, was Papa Richard to Dirik A Snead (Deceased), Robert D. Griffin, Jr, Jessica H. Hamlett, Edward S. Griffin, Jeremy L. Holt, Brittany M. Causey, Leanne G. Blackwell, Shelby L. Reagan, Corey T. Holt and James A. Reagan, III and 14 great grandchildren.Richard's family would like to extend special thanks to his devoted caregiver, Severia Parks. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel with Reverend Joe Don Cooper officiating.
