Richard Lynwood Nelson

Richard Lynwood Nelson, 42, died Monday, April 11, 2011 in Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill. Born September 16, 1968 in Williamsburg, Richard proudly served his country from September, 1989 until October, 2009, retiring from the Navy and living in Beauford, SC before moving to Boydton. Mr. Nelson is survived by his children, Jacqueline Renee Nelson of Lacombe, LA, Richard Justin Ryan Nelson of Beauford, SC, Dillion Alexander Nelson and Nicholas Dalton Nelson, both of Boydton, mother and step-father, Katharine H. and Kenneth C. Allen, Jr. of Hull, GA; and father and step-mother, Claude Richard, Jr. and Patricia L. Nelson of Williamsburg. Graveside services will be 1PM Friday, April 15, 2011 at Florence National Cemetery in Florence SC with Chaplain Charles Groomes officiating.
