Richard Anthony Pruitt

Buffalo Junction, VA - Richard Anthony “Andy” Pruitt passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020, at the age of 62. He was born in Durham, North Carolina on August 23, 1957, to the late Richard Oliver Pruitt and Mary Keeton Pruitt. Andy was a dedicated truck driver and an avid hobbyist. He was always working on a project or on his truck. He enjoyed four-wheeler riding, especially on family trips to Busco Beach. Andy was a member of Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle. Surviving are a brother, Ronnie E. Pruitt (Kathy) of Buffalo Junction; sisters, Betty P. Smith (Homer, Sr.) of Oxford, NC and Mary P. Barnette (Keith) of Roxboro, NC; step-son, Carl Whitlow (Toni) of Roxboro, NC and 3 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by a brother, Fred O. Pruitt and a sister, Nancy P. O’Briant. The family will have a private graveside service at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle.
