Roan Elizabeth Kirksey Taylor

Mrs. Roan Elizabeth Kirksey Taylor, 76, widow of James Lee Taylor, passed away Monday, January 08, 2012 in Mobile, Alabama. She was born in Burnt Corn, Alabama to the late James Jackson and Rosa Elizabeth Higdon Kirksey. A homemaker, Mrs. Taylor lived in Hampton and Buffalo Junction, Va. for a period of time. She is survived by her sons, Delbert Taylor of Hampton, James L. Taylor of Rescue, and Michael Kirksey Taylor of Alabama. Her sisters, Lillian Barnes and Alice Salter, and brother, James Kirksey, all of Alabama also survive. A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday at Halifax Memorial Gardens in South Boston. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11am until 12:30 pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
