Robert B. "Robbie" Arrington

Robert B. (Robbie) Arrington, husband of Doris Gayle Weary Arrington, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, at his home.He was born August 27, 1960 to James Delbert Arrington (deceased) and Nancy Yancey Arrington who survives.He is also survived by his daughter, Kelly N. Parker of Clarksville and a brother Curtis D. Arrington and his wife Michele of Nelson. Robbie was a member of Averett Baptist Church.He graduated from Mecklenburg Academy and Elon College.He was employed with J.P. Taylor Tobacco Company and Universal Leaf Tobacco Company for 32 years.He was the Production Accounting Manager at J.P. Taylor when he left work for health reasons. A farmer at heart, his enjoyment was working on the farm where he grew up. Family will receive friends at the home of his mother, Nancy Arrington, 4313 Hwy. 49 Nelson, VA.A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2 PM at Oakhurst Cemetery in Clarksville. In memory of Robbie, contributions may be made to Halifax Home Health and Hospice, 2204 Wilborn Road, South Boston, VA 24592. The family of Mr. Arrington is being cared for by Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home of Clarksville, VA.
