Robert Berkley "Bobby" Burton

SCOTTSBURG Mr. Robert Berkley "Bobby" Burton III passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 36. Born in South Boston on September 10, 1984, he was the son of Robert Berkley Burton, Jr and Joan Conner Burton. He was married to the late Elsie Lynn Powell Burton. Bobby was employed at Huber as a crane operator. He was a true outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing and camping with his wife, Lynn. He was a former chief of the Scottsburg Volunteer Fire Department.He knew how to bring a smile to others. Bobby and Lynn were a match made in Heaven and always kind and loving putting others first. In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Sharon Bane (Tim); niece, Makayla Blackmore (Dakota); nephews, Andrew, Matthew and Austin Bane; grandmother, Agnes Fitch; aunts and uncles and numerous loving friends and family. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Powell Family Cemetery, 5004 Cove Road, Clover, VA 24534. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask.
