Robert Dallas Rice

Clarksville, Virginia - Robert “Bob” Dallas Rice, husband of Rebecca Adcock Rice, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the age of 79. He was born in Mecklenburg County to the late Willie Lee Wiley and Grady Lee Rice. Bob served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962. He retired from Burlington Industries after thirty plus years of employment. Bob was a member at Union Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his wife Becky, cherishing his memories are his daughter Angela Bagbey and her husband Danny of Nelson; son Two Rice and his friend Tabitha of Clarksville; grandchildren Kelsey Owen (David), Brianna Rice, Seth Bagbey and Robbie Rice; sister Helen Morrison (Bob) of Aberdeen, NC, brother Ted Rice (Jane) of Oxford, NC and sister-in-law Patsy Rice of Clarksville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Rice. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31 at Union Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow at Oakhurst Cemetery. The Reverend Jackie Wray will be officiating.
