Robert Dwayne Griffin

July 19, 1961 — November 28, 2021

Robert “Dwayne” Griffin, Sr. took his seat in his Heavenly home on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the classic, rocking age of sixty. This date also marked the 40th anniversary of marriage to the love of his life, as well as the 44th anniversary of their first date. Left to cherish his memories are: His loving wife, Pamela Reagan Griffin. Two sons, Robert Dwayne Griffin, Jr. (Jordan) and Edward Scott Griffin (Rachel), and a daughter, LeAnne Griffin Blackwell (Jeffrey). Six grandchildren, Clara Jo Wilson, Robert “Bobby” D. Griffin III, Griffin Davis Wilson, Zoey Lynne Griffin, Oliver Scott Griffin, and Emma Kate Blackwell. His Mother in law, Sally Moore, several nieces and nephews, Jessica Hamlett(Richard), Brittany Coursey(Charlie), Jeremy Holt, Shelby Reagan, Corey Holt(Hollis), Jim Reagan III(Ansley), Chaley Rutledge(Brian) and several great nieces and nephews. Sisters in law, Penny R. Treloar(Jason) and Sally R. Coleman(Chris), and brother in law, Jimmy Reagan, Jr.(Kim). His Aunt Annie “Cookie” Langford, his Uncle Creston “Creck” Griffin(Barbara), and several close cousins. Several truly genuine and irreplaceable friends who we consider family, and of course, his loyal companion, his second best friend, his dog Race. He was preceded in death by his parents, L. Evelyn Bowen and Bobby Edward Griffin, his nephew Dirik Allen Snead, and his father in law James A. Reagan, Sr. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. Dwayne loved the Lord, his wife Pam, his family, and Tungsten First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was always good for a laugh or to make someone feel welcomed and at home. He loved getting down in the floor to play with his grand babies, assuming he could convince someone to help him get up. He will be remembered for “tell me three things” and “fretening” his grandkids, and his big kids. And, also for the love he showed to each and everyone of us. He will also be remembered for the legacy he leaves behind in mobile home transport, which he started with his dad in the early 1980s. His family is proud to continue to do the work that he loved. Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Tungsten First Baptist Church in the Family Life Center, immediately following the 11 o’clock services, at 12:30pm. We will have heavy hors d’oeuvres. We would also like to extend an invitation for you to join us for Sunday school at 10am and church service at 11am at Tungsten First Baptist Church, 3944 Tungsten Mine Rd, Bullock, NC 27507. The family is grateful and appreciative of the love shown to us during this time. Anyone wishing to give memorials, send to Tungsten First Baptist Church C/O Jenny Luffman, 4129 Harry DavisRd, Bullock, NC 27507, reference Dwayne Griffin General Fund.
