Robert Barry Ligon, 55, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston. The son of Robert Lee "Bobby" and Alice Smith Ligon of Buffalo Junction, Barry was a graduate of Bluestone High School with the Class of 1973. A Postal Carrier for 20 years, he worked part-time at Ligon Excavation. His real love was motorcycles and music, and he had been a part of various bands, the last being Bar Code. Funeral services will be 2PM Wednesday at Buffalo Baptist Church with the Reverends Bill Bess and Chris Kiser officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his parents, Barry is survived by his children, Crystal Ligon of Clarksville, James "J.R." Ligon of Nelson, and Laney Marie and Erin Michelle Ligon, both of South Boston. His girlfriend, Cheryl O'Brien of Nelson, brother and sister-in-law, Terry Lee and Teresa Ligon and their sons, Brandon and Alex, all of Buffalo Junction, and grandchildren, Harley and Jonah Ligon also survive.
