Robert George Masterson

Robert George Masterson, 83, husband of Helen Elizabeth Donoghue Masterson, died Thursday, September 09, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital. A native of Bayonne, NJ Mr. Masterson was the son of John and Julia Masterson. A Navy veteran, he was honored to serve his country during World War II. Mr. Masterson was retired from IBEW, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a member of the America Legion. He loved animals and enjoyed working with them through SNAPS. In addition to his wife, Mr. Masterson is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Wayne Baum of Mooresville, NC, Patricia and Frank Pape of Little Silver, NJ; and sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Lillian Masterson of Port Monmouth, NJ, Michael and Lorraine Masterson of Spotswood, NJ, and Raymond and Kathy Masterson of Atlantic Highlands, NJ. Seventeen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, eight dogs and six cats also survive. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Lake View SPCA or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
