Robert Fuller Newton, Sr.

Robert Fuller Newton Sr. of Nelson passed away on Friday, March 22nd, 2024. He was born on May 28th, 1942 in Mecklenburg County to the late Shirley Clayton Newton and Willie Vera Owen Newton. He is survived by his wife, Gertie Martin Newton.

Robert was retired from printing.  His passion was farming.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gertie; son, Robert F. Newton Jr.; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

His family would like to thank the neighbors and friends for all the help and support over the years. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 26th at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Reverend Rodney Barwick officiating.
