Robert Edward "Bob" Watts

Rev. Robert Edward "Bob" Watts, 69, died Friday, November 6, 2009. He was born in Charlotte Co. on October 3, 1940 to the late Nathaniel & Lester Overby Watts. He was Minister at Hitesburg Baptist Church. He was a member of Aarons Creek Ruritan Club. Before entering the ministry he was a supervisor at Burlington Industries in Drakes Branch. Rev. Watts is survived by his wife, Sandra Guthrie Watts; 4 brothers, Bill Watts & wife, Betty, David Watts & wife, Sherry, Tommy Watts, all of Keysville, and Kenny Watts & wife, Faye of Saxe; sister, Mary Ann Smith & husband, Robert of Christiansburg; sister-in-law, Colleen Elder & husband, Dennis of Brookneal; brother-in-law, Jasper J. Guthrie of Florida; Step brother-in-law, Ralph Dews of Farmville; a number of nieces & nephews; and dear cousins, Betty Hardy & husband, W.C. and Margaret Rickman, both of Keysville. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 9 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Hitesburg Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, November 8 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and at other times at the Hitesburg Baptist Church Parsonage, 4097 Aarons Creek Rd., Virgilina.
