Rochelle Dyer Rudder

SOUTH BOSTON Rochelle Dyer Rudder went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the age of 81.Born in Halifax County on July 14, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Grant Dyer, II and the late Lucy Belle New Dyer. Rochelle was a member of Ingram Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church where she faithfully served the Lord and was retired from Tultex Textiles as a quality manager with 34 years of employment. Survivors include her son, Michael Dwayne Rudder and wife Denise of Alton; sister, Jo Ann Hudson and husband Ernie of New Bern, NC; brother, Billy Dyer and wife Polly of South Boston; sister-in-law Debra Dyer; and other family and friends. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Reverend Gilbert Grant Dyer III and Ralph Dyer. Funeral services for Rochelle Rudder will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Ingram Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church at 3:00PM with the Reverend Ron Sexton and the Reverend Steve Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church an hour before the service from 2:00PM to 3:00PM and at other times at her home, 111 Carrington Street, South Boston.
