Ronald Lee Puryear

South Boston, VA - Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Puryear, husband of Vivian Leigh Puryear, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019, at the age of 72. He was born in Halifax County on February 17, 1947, to the late Jessie Lee Puryear and the late Gladys Wilkerson Puryear. Ronnie served his country in the United States Army. He was a long distance truck driver. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Vivian; daughter, Sherri Puryear Cole (Troy); son, Stacy Puryear (Melissa); sister, Janice Moore (Tommy), as well as a host of other family and friends. Funeral services for Ronnie Puryear will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, October 7, 2019 in Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel, 115 Main Street, South Boston, VA with Pastor Greg Thomas officiating.
