Ronnia Haskins Furches

SOUTH BOSTON, VA Mrs. Ronnia Haskins Furches of South Boston, VA died Friday, March 25, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born in Halifax County on September 8, 1933 to the late Willie James Haskins and the late Mary Childress Haskins and was married to Carl Elbert Furches. Ronnia was an active member of Ash Avenue Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and involved with other activities in the church. Her passions were shopping and bowling at the World of Sports bowling alley. Mrs. Furches is survived by her husband, Carl Furches; a brother, Guy S. Haskins and wife Linda of South Boston; and nephews, Kevin Haskins, Marion Haskins, Jimmy Haskins, and Gerald Haskins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles Edward Haskins and John Robert Haskins. Funeral services will be held at Ash Avenue Baptist Church on Monday, March 28, 2016 at2:00 PM with The Reverend Jack Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ash Avenue Baptist Church one hour before the service and at other times at the home of Carl Furches, 114 White Oak Dr., South Boston.
