SOUTH BOSTON Mr. Ronnie Payne Talbott, Jr. passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the age of 42. Born in Halifax County on November 16, 1975, he was the son of Ronnie Payne Talbott, Sr. and Dixie Hess and was married to Shelly Thompson Talbott. Ronnie was the owner and operator of Ronnie’s Auto Body & Customizing, loving his job customizing vehicles. Destiny was the apple of his eye, he loved her dearly, spending most of his free time watching her play ball. He was a father figure to many children and loved each one as his own. He loved helping others, making sure no one was ever in need. He enjoyed cooking and traveling with his family. Other than his parents and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Destiny Lynn Talbott; step mother, Debbie Talbott; sister, Cynthia Talbott Noblin and husband, Mike and their children, Victoria Lynn Noblin, James Michael Noblin, Jr, and Taytum Adell Noblin; grandfather, Edward Hess; special brothers, Daniel and Michael Crews; father in law and mother in law, Mike and Judy Thompson and numerous friends and family. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Francis Adell Talbott; paternal grandfather, Ammon Berkley Talbott; maternal grandmother, Anna Pearl Hess; uncle, Emmitt Franklin Talbott; and beloved cousin, Kevin Wayne Talbott. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church and other times at the home, 2049 Mountain Road, Halifax, VA.
