SOUTH BOSTON, VA Mrs. Rosalea Martin Lacks, widow of Watt Lacks, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the age of 79.Born in Phenix , VA on August 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Ethel Martin. Rosalea had a green thumb and loved to grow flowers, read, cook and travel.She was retired from Craddock Terry Shoe Factory and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, Clover. She is survived by daughters, Teresa Bouzakis and husband, Manny of Danville; Trudy Dalton and husband, Mark of Halifax; and Rhonda Elliott and husband, David of Alton; daughter in law, Judy L. Lacks; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen “Bea” Mingo of Seal Beach, CA. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Roxie Harris; son, Barry Lacks; grandson, Craig Fallen; siblings, Ruth Cockman, Douglas Martin, Bertha Doran, Marshall Martin, Clarence Martin, Lorene Matthews, Fred Martin, Nell Jeanette Martin and Meria Martin Harris. Funeral Services for Rosalea Lacks will be Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Church of God of Prophecy. Interment will follow in the Clover Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM and at other times the home of Rhonda and David Elliott, 1187 Woodsdale Road, Alton, VA.
