Rosetta Wallen McKinney, 90, passed away quietly on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville, VA.Mrs. McKinney was born April 2, 1924 in Halifax County, VA. to the late Claude Jackson Wallen and Odell Daisy Powell.Mrs. McKinney attended Mecklenburg Baptist Church in Boydton.She was retired from the textiles industry and worked as a machine operator at Burlington Industries for 15 years.Mrs. McKinney is survived by her three sisters and brother in law, Elnora Duffey from South Boston, Odell and Ed Langford from Chesterfield, Ann Wallen from Richmond, her sisters in law Ethel Wallen from Amelia and Mary Wallen from Clarksville, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.She is also survived by her aunts Fannie Spainhour of Loveland, OH and Ophelia Lacks of Victoria and Uncle David Wallen of Medway, OH.She was preceded in death by her late husband John Henry McKinney and her brothers and sisters, Ruby Martin, Sarah Hudson, Glenda Wallen, Claude Junior Wallen, John Ed Wallen, George Henry Wallen, Phillip Wallen and Ellis Wallen.A funeral service for Mrs. Rosetta McKinney will be held on Tuesday at two o’clock pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.The family will have an open visitation prior to the service starting at one o’clock pm.
