Royston Charles "Roy" Bees

Royston Charles “Roy” Bees of Nelson, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the age of 71. Born in Gloucestershire, England on March 30, 1952 he was the son of the late Edward George “Ted” Bees and Ivy Ella “Molly” Moore Bees and is the husband to Linda Roberts Bees, who survives. Roy ventured to the United States to live the American dream. He was a master baker and confectioner, but loved to cook for his family. He was the owner of “European Delights” in South Boston, VA. In his spare time, he loved to draw, sing and to make others laugh; but he adored spending time with his family most of all.

In addition to his wife, Roy is survived by his two children, Michelle Bees, of Nelson, VA, and Jason Bees (Ashley) , also of Nelson, VA;  grandchildren, Hailey Bollinger, Jacob Davis, McKaila Bees, Mollie Bees, Draven Bees, Alfred Campbell, and additional grandchildren, Starlyn Campbell and Samuel Taylor; two brothers, Phillip Bees and Edward Bees, of England, and one sister, June Walker, also of England. In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by one grandson, Alex Carter.

The family will recieve friends and loved ones at their home at 1446 White House Rd. Nelson, VA 24580, over the course of the next several days.
