Ruby Green Griffin

Ruby Green Griffin, 88, of Clarksville, VA passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013. She was born July 8, 1925 in South Boston to the late Ernest Gray and Lottie Rogers Green. Ruby was the widow of Raymond Wooding Griffin. She was a retired Ward Clerk at Southeastern General Hospital in Lumberton, NC. Ruby was a loving and supportive wife and mother to her family. Mrs. Griffin is survived by daughter, Caroline Fletcher; her grandson, Chase Fletcher of South Hill; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Emma Loftis, Jennie Baynes, Lottie Moore and Myrtle and Carl Chandler; brothers and sister-in-law, J. G. Green and Frank and Shirley Green; sisters-in-law, Glenna Nunn, Jean Daniel, Helen Blanks J. W. ; and her best friend, Margaret Saunders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; and daughter, Carol Ann Griffin; brothers, Ernest Green and O. D. Green; and sister-in-law, Nell Saverese. A graveside service will be held at Gravel Hill Cemetery on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Dr. Greg Randall officiating.
