Ruby Blanks Jacobs

South Boston, VA - Mrs. Ruby Blanks Jacobs, widow of Reverend Rudolph Parker Jacobs, went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the age of 80. She was born in Halifax County, VA on June 26, 1938 the daughter of the late Henry Bryce Baylous and the late Martha Cole Baylous. Ruby enjoyed sewing and was a member of Revelation Baptist Church and was a retired textile worker at JP Stevens. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her sons, Ronnie Blanks and wife, Melinda, and Bryce Anthony Blanks and wife, Brenda; step daughter, June Woodall and husband, Shannon; step sons, Daryl Jacobs and wife, Tammy and Randy Jacobs and wife, Brenda; sisters, Jean Blanks, Kathy Ashley, and Linda Barton; brothers, Steve Baylous and Wayne Baylous; grandchildren, Dana Bomar, Crystal Blanks, David Blanks, Leslie Vega, Bethany Lyons, and Michelle Croxton; and a host of step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Blanks, sisters, Gladys Daniel and Lola Matthews, brother, Billy Baylous, and great grandchild, Colby Blanks. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Billy Coghill officiating.
